Tal como afirma el científico Manel Esteller en su libro Aposta per la salut (Pòrtic), “estamos en un contexto en el que el dinero va por delante de la salud”. Mientras esto no se revierta desde donde correponda, en nuestras manos tenemos una gran herramienta para procurarnos salud a coste cero: la prevención. “Debemos seguir perseverando en el fomento de la salud individual y colectivamente”, expresa Esteller. En su Aposta per la salut, Manel Esteller, que dirige el Instituto de Investigación contra la Leucemia Josep Carreras y es investigador ICREA, invita a aplicar un muy concreto decálogo de consejos para una vida saludable y prevenir el cáncer: No fumar , moderar el consumo de bebidas alcohólicas, no consumir otras drogas, respetar el ritmo de sueño, hacer ejercicio físico con moderación, evitar el exceso de peso, comer variado e ingerir fruta y verdura fresca, auto-explorarse, evitar la exposición solar y evitar el estrés. Diez recomendaciones que requieren de nuestra voluntad para ser implementadas en nuestro día a día, que no siempre es fácil.
Para despertar la conciencia sobre la necesidad y los beneficios de seguir estos hábitos de salud y bienestar, este sábado, 11 de mayo, alrededor del Hospital Clínic de Barcelona y de sus otras sedes –el hospital Plató y la Maternitat– se realizarán talleres, charlas, actividades deportivas, gastronómicas, musicales, lúdicas y familiares abiertas al público y con inscripción gratuita, que forman parte del denominado y primer Clínic Obert. Se celebrará durante toda la mañana, de las 9.30 hasta las 15 horas, y todo el mundo podrá participar de más de 100 actividades en cuatro escenarios diferentes, cinco salas de conferencias con dieciocho charlas, quince visitas en espacios interiores y más de sesenta carpas con talleres y puntos informativos. Todas las actividades se pueden consultar en la web de esta iniciativa impulsada por el propio Hospital Clínic Barcelona, el IDIBAPS, la Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de la Universitat de Barcelona, el Consorci d’Atenció Primària de Salut de Barcelona Esquerra (CAPSBE) y el Instituto de Salud Global de Barcelona (ISGLOBAL).
Con el objetivo de conectar con la ciudadanía haciendo prevención en salud y fomentando hábitos de vida saludables que incrementen nuestro bienestar, en más de 15.000 metros cuadrados, en la calle, se dará la oportunidad de conocer y descubrir el Campus Clínic, y que se pueda mostrar todo lo que se hace desde el ámbito del conocimiento, la investigación, la docencia, la promoción y la prevención de la salud.
Más de 300 profesionales del Campus Clínic liderarán talleres informativos y de concienciación práctica sobre temas de salud y sociales. También se realizarán acciones sobre prevención de enfermedades como el Alzheimer o la artrosis y en torno a las prácticas de primeros auxilios y masaje cardiopulmonar, y los pasos a seguir para dejar el tabaco.
También se darán a conocer las actividades de voluntariado, mecenazgo y cooperación internacional que se lideran desde el Campus, y se podrá visitar el primer quirófano del mundo con tecnología 5G. Habrá talleres familiares de ciencia, una visita al Biobanco de tejidos, el taller El café de la inmunoterapia o una visita al laboratorio de diabetes del IDIBAPS, entre otros. Y durante la mañana también se organizarán visitas guiadas a la Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de la Universitat de Barcelona, y al laboratorio de simulación, y se explicará la relación entre el Hospital Clínic y la Facultad de Medicina, entre otras actividades.
Alimentación saludable
Junto al despliegue de esta iniciativa se incluirá también un espacio de alimentación saludable donde se cocinará en directo y se darán consejos sobre nutrición y alimentación favorable para nuestra salud. Lo harán chefs como Ada Parellada, del restaurante Semproniana; Eduard Xatruch, del restaurante Disfrutar; Carlota Claver, de La Gormanda y Jorge Cabeza Fernández, @JorgeSaludable.
En esta jornada festiva se invitará a los asistentes a imaginar el hospital del futuro. Habrá actuaciones musicales, como la del grupo Xiula, Maria Hein y se harán sesiones de spinning con más de ochenta bicicletas, clases de swing, marcha nórdica, una chocolatada en el Mercat del Ninot y una exhibición de los Castellers de Sarrià.
